And of course if they are all the same length you only need one spare one. Major cause of injector pipe failure is vibration caused by a lack of proper clamping of the pipe.

Your post is not borne out by my direct experience. I had a split injector pipe on a Petters mini-twin. I split a length of plastic fuel pipe and clamped it very hard with about four jubilee clips round the offending split. The engine ran on both cylinders at half revs for about half an hour. It finally stopped when the plastic pipe became hot and therefore soft. but by that time I was back in port.

Now I always carry an emergency rubber injector pipe. They are supposed to work for about 50 hours. Mine cost about £30 from my local diesel workshop.

Will have to go with Stu on this....I've seen many sets of pipes that were of differing lengths . If by calculation or what I don't know but certainly different........
