Broadly speaking.

Is there a formula for calculating how much draft will increase?

For ships Yup!

....or the easy method for us normal folk is - not enough to worry about. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Just to add to the confusion - I think the other flipper on here - flipperk1564 is called Peter...

[/ QUOTE ]
Flipper_K6354 is me, Peter and the log comes back to me (eventually)! Perhaps I will change my name now to Billy no boat to stop this confusion?

[/ QUOTE ]

Jesus, I thought I was going mad. I was certain I'd been talking to and drinking with Peter. Never mind then Patrick, ignore my last post.

Two flippers are just confusing.

There must be some-one on this group who

a) has an old dv camera in their top drawer

b) who lives close enough to norwich to drop it off so that nathan can start filming again

of course Natahan would have to promise that he will not try pulling the camera up to the top of the mast again.

If he hasn't got one by the time he gets to Wells, mine is already lined up for delivery. Only a real cheapo job but at least it's good enough for online stuff

Sixpence Camera donation

Brilliant - what a great bloke you are

cheap is good - you can see by the splashes on the lens and bouncing around on halyards that he is a serial camera abuser

I for one check nathans postings every day

Hi Dylan
To be honest it really is a cheap one so I'm not going to miss it much, it's the only one I have but it was good enough to film this when my good mate Niel had us as crew on the Oostende trip last year

Not a patch on the sort of quality Nathan has managed so far but it should at least make sure he can carry on recording the trip.
Sorry Nathan, but some of us like to see you suffer with milk and cuppa soup in the bilges /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thats a really nice compliment from a pro!

I have to agree with you though..... Nathan has managed to make his videos interesting beyond the normal 'record of events' by bringing a real personal element into them....

[/ QUOTE ]

Stop it you two, I'm blushing.

Thank you though.

The camera should be sorted by Friday. A chap has offered to replace my lost battery, which is being delivered to the Oulton broads harbour master, so hopefully I can pick it up on my way through on Friday.

I do hope he doesn't go and do a dame ellen on us and start sobbing uncontrollably

[/ QUOTE ]I suspect this to be likely in the event of dwindling beer stocks, or maybe joy if steady Sw'ies set in for more than 4 minutes /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

[/ QUOTE ]Actually..... thats what i'm expecting from 'Keep Turning Left' when you get into the Orwell, and see the quantity of tupperware on display... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I think Nathan may be taking this 'Keep Turning Left' thing a bit too literally judging by the fact that every time he comes to a river, he turns left and keeps going until he finds the sea again /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
