Broadcasting rights CH16 ...

.. does anybody know when these rights were sold to Sunsail ... ?

as with BSkyB, did the gov require 40% news content eg "calling all Acme Widget Co Ltd participants in this weeks competition?" to be broadcast with the balance given over to imported shows. and surely they can't transmit profanities prior to the 8 o'clock watershed observed by other broadcasters?

Must be some time ago now.

I remember them using Ch 16 for broadcasting practice Mayday messages a few years back (only they didn't bother to tell anyone they were practice messages)

A nervous sounding Sunsail Mother Duck was calling for her ducklings on sunday morning approx 8:30 until disgruntled person (might have been CG) asked him to shift to working channel. moderately amusing listening to mother duck quacking away although less so if you'd been needing CH16 for its correct purposes.

the profanity was more blasphemy. An 'ooh my gawd' was heard ...
