I am sailing over to Brittany in a couple of weeks, and wondered if anybody knew of a good pilot book on the cruising area from treburden to camaret. I allready have the shell channel pilot. Any advice would be much appreciated

The best are the Imray/RCC Foundation ones, but fairly expensive at £39.

Otherwise the Macmillan Reeds or the Cruising Association Handbook from Imrays. These two cover a much wider area

By far thr best coverage is in the Bloc Marine Livre en Bord, buy it over there, if your French is adequate. This again gives wider coverage than the area at which you're looking.

All the above will expose the Shell Guide as fairly kindergarten.

I believe the best to be the Bénéteau pilots (used to be Pen Duick pilots) again in French. The navigation diagrams and photos are much clearer than the Bloc Marine IMHO.
