Brits marrying in Spain, is it possible ?

Joe, it's possible but the bad news is that you have to be legally resident in Spain. See this site, which is specific to Andalucia but deals with the rules in Spain generally too. www.andalucia.com/law/marriage/home.htm
You may want to think about having a wedding/honeymoon in sunny Gibraltar - it's very easy there - even Mick Jagger did it!

Congrats to Captainslarty, and Firstmateslarty!! At least if you get married in Spain, you can probably declare some kind of public holiday. I mean, there are holidays for everything else, why not Slartyday?

Bravo! nick

How about a trip to the Azores or Canaries? Not sure of the rules but I think they often do do weddings for forgien nationals who make it a holiday, bit like the Carribian.

Very sorry, but when anybody announces marriage I have to advise against it, as a matter of policy....

No, I'm not sorry really....but I do wish you well...hope springs eternal
