I presuppose that the forum for classic outboards is Classic Boat.
I have an old British Seagull Forty Plus that I bought new in 1974, for a year's net salary as a media logistics executive. Now I have to do my indolent son's paper round, I've been seized with the desire to fire up the old outboard that was my first salaried purchase.
Sadly, the magneto widget is dead, so I went on a search to find the current home of British Seagull. Chillington Marine (last incarnation) seems to have relocated the outboard business to Sheridan Marine, at Moulsford, Oxford. The trouble is, I can't raise them by phone, fax, or e-mail.
Anyone know what the state of play is, or other stockholders for parts?
