Tom Cunliffe on TV at moment.

Does anyone know where I can get access to the details/names of the actual pilots, who skippered/worked out of Barry in 19th century?

They surely are amongst the most beautiful, and efficient, fore-and-aft rigged sailing vessels ever built. I often see Cariad on the Vilaine River and she is a delight to the eye.

2 in Gloucester dock at present. Didnt get the names just looked seaworthy more interesting than the Amercas Cup Yacht from the 50s or 60s alongside.

Barry Yacht Club will on the 30th April be starting the Cock o' the Bristol Channel race for Pilot Cutters. The race down around Lundy will be the 80th anniversary race with hopefully around 10 cutters racing.

"The Sailing Pilots of the Bristol Chanel "written by Peter Stuckey contains lots of historical facts and is a great read as well.

Could the person I lent mine to about 20 year ago return it now please .Unbelievably copies are being advertised on amazon for £500 plus. :-(
