Bristol channel mooring swaps?

Does this happen? Do people who have annual moorings in different places swap with each other on a temporary basis?

As an example I am split between Swansea and Portishead to have my boat. Swansea is a better area to sail but Portishead is close to where I live. I though someone must be keen on a swap arrangement.

Maybe the marinas dont allow this in their terms?

I can't speak for swinging moorings but you certainly cannot 'swap' marina berths, unless you come to some arrangement with the marina office. Your annual contract is for your boat, not for a specific berth. If you're away the average marina is quite entitled to find space for another boat, and to charge them for it.
