talking to a pal recently about the problems of heading for lands end with a deep keel ( ie ideally an east wind, lundy not available, combe no good etc) he suggested Clovelly even in an easterly ( shelter from the cliffs). I wondered about Woolacombe in an easterly.
Anyway, the point of this post is to suggest that we all list our bristol channel anchorages is lat /long together with the wind direction in which they are protected. There must be lots of them about as used by the old sailing coasters
