Good news for anyone berthed at, or visiting, Shotley. They won't have to eat at the ****wreck

I ate there last week.Ordered ham,egg and chips at 12.15 to be told that it is not available.I had cod and chips instead at £10.95.My friend had sausage and mash. It was ok as pubgrub goes but nothing special .

We had a meal in there one Saturday evening 4 or 5 weeks ago now.
We found it most acceptable and not over priced.

I did not find it very good when i went, but some folk from SPYC raved about it, so i owe it at least one more try.

I thought the food was OKish but expensive for what it was.We did get asked to leave when our Jack Russell got a bit noisy due to the protracted wait for the desserts to be served >30 mins.

Much better service and prices for similar type but much better food at The Rose in Shotley.

Don't believe the SPYC lot, funny crowd.

Have you ever owned a Jack Russell, very demanding dogs. Absolutely love dry places, especially deserts.

Slight drift - The Orford Jolly Sailor was excellent on Wednesday evening and the Kings Head has reopened (no food yet)

ate there last sunday evening, whilst berthed at Shotley .....fish & chip's....mediocre fish oven chips bit soggy, but the beer (adnams) was good. Incidental thought .... the o'night berthing was affordable (£21 for a 10 metre) last time i went into the marina was the OGA Shotley festival. ahhhh memories!

we ended up in SYH as there weren't too many positives about the Bristol arms.
£21 for 8 metre berthing
Ate in the lightship - huge piece of haddock and chips, £9.50 very nice, Steak was tough but large. Beer fine.
