Evening all.

Sorry to continue to be self indulgent, but here is the next movie about my first major passage from Brighton to Bray. This one covers the leg from Brighton to Chatham.

I hope you enjoy it: http://youtu.be/X7glceZLuiw

Cheers Erik, I did try but the issue is more that I am condensing 30 minutes of shooting into 45 seconds of viewing. The stabilisation actually had the opposite effect and instead you lost much of the video. Any recommendations on any particular software would be gratefully received as the standard iMovie one just didn't cut it

It takes some effort to edit and well produce a video so thanks for posting, I enjoyed it.

Fantastic weather for your trip, what motor boating is about :encouragement:

It took about 9 hours in total between Brighton and Chatham, but that included a stop off for lunch at Ramsgate for about two hours. We also couldn't push on at a speed that Amanic was capable of given the seas. I have had her set up with a fresh water anti-foul and the advice was not to exceed 25 knots otherwise it would start to deteriorate so this was done at a speed of 20-25 knots (with a couple of bursts of speed of course - it's hard to resist when you've got a clean hull and new props). Of course the Medway is restricted by the 12 knot speed limit as well and it's quite a way down to Chatham.

The next leg I took between Chatham to Chiswick we could have done in about four-five hours but we hung around in Greenwich so I could see the family and really took our time through Central London as it was my first passage through the city.

I must say I'm envious of your passage now - having almost completed mine (I'm moving her from Chertsey to Bray tomorrow) I wanted to embark on another long passage straight away, but I suppose there is always next season.

Hope you enjoy it.

How long did this leg take you & at what speed on average. Looking at doing the reverse this year on route to Isle of wight.

We've been up as far as Windsor / penton the last two years from Fambridge on the Crouch. We are moving temporarily to Chatham with a view to going down where you came from, well nearly. We should compare notes at the end of the season, enjoy.
