Hi,

I'll be moving my boat, 23ft Relcraft, to Brighton Marina soon and was wondering if there is a fishing club at the marina? Or, any friendly people willing to suggest a few good fishing spots!!

Thanks in advance.
Matt

Hi - not sure about a fishing club. Next time I'm down, I'll ask the guy berthed next to me as he goes out fishing quite a bit.

No fish, all that effluent from the liveaboards in the marina, flows out and kills everything within 30 miles!! Pink gin mainly!

from what i saw last year there cant be enough room for one as every sq. inch is built-on & as the sea bed is rising with-in the marina ( ran aground before getting into berth) it just might be possible shortly

Just follow the seaguls (or go out to one of the charted wrecks - loads out there) Look me up in summer for a pontoon BBQ with your catch. I'll bring the hot rocks.

Matt,
The Brighton Deep Sea Anglers Club is now made up of some 40 members who own their own boats berthed in Brighton Marina. Members compete for a range of cups and cash prizes from regular competitions. A lot of good fish are caught out from the marina.

The BDSA was formed in 1900, initially having club boats launched from Brighton beach, and has operated from Brighton Marina since 1983.

New members are welcome. If you are interested in joining let me know your pontoon/berth number and I will drop an application form and newsletter into your boat.
