It's our 20th wedding anniversary on Wednesday. We had planned to be on the Thames and have our celebration in a nice restaurant...

So... Next best... We have a balcony room overlooking Brighton marina. A nice meal out, casino visit and a bit of mooching around looking at boats. :)

Hope you are staying in Seattle Hotel?

I used to live in Brighton and loved the marina! I ended up mooring my boat there when I was lucky and my job was down south!!!

For a romantic meal out, try fishyfishy in Brighton! It is a fab place!

If you need any gear for the boat there are a couple of shops in the marina and the local Volvo dealer has usually everything in stock!

PS. Happy Anniversary BTW! ;)

Yes we are staying there. We allways stay there, it so relaxing and the view is just perfect. I love the sounds of the marina even when theres a windy rainy day. We do not eat in the restaurant though.. Not a pleasant experience!

I am making a list of things we need for the boat, most are wants actually.. LOL

The restaurant link looks interesting thanks. :)

My son has a penthouse suite at the top of Sovereign Court overlooking the marina, perhaps you will be neighbours? :D

Happy wedding aniversary. :)

I love the appartments and town houses round there. I have told hubby I want one with it's own mooring... :D

Penthouse views must be to die for though.. :)

Family friends used to ( may still have ) a house right on the beach in Brighton . Gorgeous house with an amazing entrance hall . I was very young at the time but i seem to remember stepping out of the door directly on to the beach .

For a fish restaurant in Brighton I would recommend....

Delicious food and romantic ;)

Happy Anniversary

I agree Riddle and Finns is fabulous but I don't think it is very romantic:rolleyes:

Last time we ate there we shared our table with someone else as it was so busy and it is stools and marble counters and can be a bit hectic

Strangely, the most romantic meal we have had in a while in Brighton was at the Pagoda floating restaurant - which does not look so great but was brilliant

The Pagoda looks like a wreck, I thought it was derelict.... LOL

We tend to go for a wander and then choose where to eat, so have to wait and see. :)

I guess maybe not so romantic! I like it as you sit side by side and they have all the big candelabra. The food there is excellent.

There is a huge choice of restaurants in Brighton you just have to find the good ones. Moshi Moshi if you like Japanese and Sushi is great for lunch as is Pho - Vietnamese street food. Now I'm hungry! :D
