Brightlingsea marina

Hi can anybody advise me on times ref getting in and out of the marina I draw 2m
Haven’t been in for a couple of years

The sill dries at 1m above chart datum. There is a live tide gauge on BHC’s website here: Home - Brightlingsea Harbour. With 2m draft I would guess that you’d be OK a couple of hours either side of HW but don’t take my word for it!

We also draw 2m and I'd be very shy of using the marina. The pontoons are admittedly overpriced these days given the lack of water and power, but closer than the Pyefleet and with the benefit of water taxi or own-dinghy access to the town.

The current view of this marina on Google Earth shows it with 95% of the berths empty. Does anyone know why?

Well Google Earth aint up to date. Probably taken when it was being dredged.
It was about 80% full the other day.

Pic was taken in the winter, during dredging - the outfall pipe is marked by a line of small buoys.

It was dredged before the start of last season.
