Last October I got Derek (DB Marine) onboard to look at 2 jobs I wanted doing. Heard nothing since so I rang up this week to find out when he is coming to hear he is on holiday until end of month. As I am away from mid March until Easter when I want to relaunch this is all a bit tight for comfort.

Can anyone suggest a reasonably priced engineer to replace / relead the stop cable on Yanmar 1GM10 and to remove the old 4 gallon fuel tank and replace with something bigger that fits in the current locker c 12 gallons.

Might be worth a call to Richard Thomas @ Medusa Marine, Ardleigh.....07831160402

On Thursday I spent some time with cardboard and sticky tape to see what size tank I can fit in the locker. The access isn't big! I can't fit any of Tec-Tanks standard sized tanks in so either need one made to measure or possibly a flexible one. Talking to Foxes Vetus do flexible tanks but they cost a fortune but they did give me a number of a company that might make a fuel tank.

Think I will put this project on hold whist I consider other options! It is not an essential to getting afloat. Can manage this season with 4 gallon tank (c 12 hours motoring) and carrying spare canisters.
