Brightlingsea car parking?

Having only ever sailed to Brightlingsea in the recent past, this has never been an issue - but can anybody suggest where would be the best place to leave a car for the day (most likely a Sunday) that is reasonably near to the waterfront?

We usually park in the public park just across the way from the sailing club in Oyster Tank Road. It's free in the winter but I think there may be a charge in summer.

I usually park on the road next to the boating lake, and it is free

To be honest parking in Brightlingsea is a not easy since car park charges were introduced in the small car park and the wind farm support boats started. Often the car park is empty!

If you cant find a space on the road then head down towards Morgan Marine there is parking there if you are a 'customer' so pop into the chandlery!

Yeah summer parking can be tricky.. Still a surprisingly nice place and one of the friendliest groups of 'boaters' i've met.
