Hi

I am very new to boating, I need to get a Birchwood 37 (just purchased, with Radar) down to Penton Hook from Marlow. Are there any bridges on this stretch of the Thames that might cause a problem height wise. I have searched all the paperwork that came with the boat but can't find any info on the boats height.

Thanks, Glen

I suspect you will be ok, but I would recommend you measure your air draft, not knowing how high your radar is

Presume it has a folding arch ?

Remember all bridge heights are measured from headwater , and the locks typically run a few inches above headwater , so worth telephoning the contentious ones ( marlow, cookham and Romney ) and ask how far above headwater they are running to work out your height.
