I used to wash the hull with pretty hot water a couple of times just before applying oxalic and work along the waterline a couple of metres at a time to keep it warm. That really speeds things up when temperature is down in low teens.

Yes, that was so obvious I didn't mention it. Looking back, it isn't that obvious unless it's something you'd do as a matter of course.

Worth highlighting. But do both, heating the hull and the oxalic solution really speeds up the reaction rate.
