Brick cleaner on my props

We used some of the non hydrochloric brick cleaner for the first time this winter. It was better than a chocolate teapot but I can't say I was impressed - it still needed quite a bit of scraping after, and it left a bit of a black bloom on the props and rudder. I lightly sanded them when dry and then primed and antifouled. I'll know next winter if it's a big cock-up!

Or how about this; 36%, 5 litres around £19 delivered. Dilute down to 36 litres @ 5%, making 5 litres of the 5% solution around £2.65.

Even cheaper if you go for their 25 litre @ £33 delivered; equivalent to 5 litres @ 36% being £6.60. Diluted down to 180 litres @ 5%, that makes 5 litres @ 5% around £0.92 !

I chose the first option, I can't see me ever needing 180 litres of brick/ prop cleaner !

More work needed. Like this.

Ahhhhh......but I had, by the time the pic was taken, smeared the blades and hub in trailer bearing grease. Hence the "dull" appearance.

No idea if the application of the grease does any good, save to say we have never had more than a very mild layer of crud on the blades at haul-out.
