Bray Marina

You could cycle it from Bray to that estate or its a cab ride.

Depends how fit you are!!

You are probably looking at £15 per night mooring charges.

Theres a good pub at the end of the road from the marina that does a steak in an evening and theres an Indian nearby that will deliver to the marina.

I am sure the marina manager - Mike Gates (who is known to frequent this forum) will make you very welcome!

Cheers

Mike

If the Ind estate is where I think it is - on the A4 between Maidenhead and Reading then Hobb's in Henley or Val Wyatt's in Wargrave or Thames and Kennet Marina on the Maidenhead side of Reading might be suitable locations.

There are moorings in Sonning owned by the pub - this might be a good bet.

Don't want to be anywhere where you have to use J9/10 of the M4 - nightmare stuff!

Whilst we are talking about Bray I would like to thank Mike Gates for his time and for giving me fantastic directions to get back to the motorway.

Thanks Mike.

You could of course slum it and moor along the bank:-

In maidenhead near Bray Boats,
above Boulter's Lock,
speak kindly to the lockkeeper or Bray Boat who might keep an eye on the vessel.

Be careful with the dates however as some parts of the Thames will be closed from 1st. November...

On reflection I think Andrew should be slumming it. As a public sector worker my taxes pay his salary!

Bet he's going on a course for this new 30squillion quid all singing and dancing computer system - shouldn't be difficult to hide a few £thou expenses in that lot.

Well, mention the idea to the bean counters who deal with travel expenses and they thre a flap, its not in the book, we have to think something up, how big is the engine.

I suggested they look and see if camper vans are mentioned:-) Poor so and sos are a bit stuck on that "cheapest possible" clause.

Nope, its not the main EHR system, but connected.

So are we still meeting at the Crispin on Thursday, or has this been superseeded by Nick's date?

Re: Andrew Fanner please look in!!!!

I hope Andrew is coming, and a few more, or with current list, might as well have a Wokingham meet?

Re: Andrew Fanner please look in!!!!

Probably best to keep it at the Crispin (rather than confusing things ;). I'll be driving from Wokingham if anyone wants a lift...
