My employers are sending me on a course in Maidenhead next month. Commuting to Maidenhead each day for a week doesn't commend itself (nasty train journey from Portsmouth) A week in Bray Marina looks possible and I can do some work on the boat out of hours, maybe. Besides, stinging the NHS for some diesel and a VM for a week appeals to me:-)

Is Bray actually usefully near Maidenhead, or is there anywhere closer? Course is at Vanwell Business Park if that means anything to anyone.

Nah! As you come out of Maidenhead, head towards Windsor, Bray is first marina, then Windsor Marina, then just outside Windsor is Racecourse Yacht basin. Bray is def much closer to Maidenhead

But it is in the middle of nowhere, wrt Vanwall Ind Est. Actually, the industrial estate is in the middle of nowhere wrt to public transport, so it may be a taxi job each way...

I was in the vicinity this morning, avoid taking a car the traffic at 8.30 this morning was horrendous!! it took me over 40 mins to get from the Racecourse to the main Maidenhead /M4 roundabout not more than 5 miles !!!

Of the three of them, it is closest though. Problem is, the business park is out the other side of town, heading towards Reading.
Can probably do it by bus though, as there is a bus route on the Windsor Maidenhead road, and a bus service from Maidenhead to the business park. Bit of a hassle though.

An excuse for a Berks meet at the crispin one evening that week? I'm sure someone would be coming that way, or wouldn't mind diverting if needed.

20 euros? They won't even let you see the menu for 20 euros! I'd have thought that little number would set you back more like 100...

Arrange? It's a mobo thing. It just happens, doesn't it? We all turn up at the Crispin on Thursday 28th at around 8pm, as if my magic. If we were raggies, of course, we'd need three months planning and our own forum.
