Branscombe Beach closed

Seeing as this thread is essentially about possesion, the references to Did's and Pikie's is rather apt... (When considered against Dids and Pikies).

Curious to note how Pikies (although with a capital) has become a descriptive noun (?), as opposed to the name of a social group. Well, I hope so, or there's a scary number of unashamed bigots here.

No comment on the issue at hand though.

The only people who know that are the people themselves. This country is turning into a load of nimby fence peepers who think they are all spokespeople for everything good and proper, thus the rest of us must be 'sink estate pikey scum'.

Fair enough, checking back you did not contribute to the name calling, I was not actually saying that YOU did, but I can see it might read that way.

It was your comment about reasoned debate. Reasoned debate went out of the window when people started deciding what crimes the pikey, sink-estate scum had committed before they had had a chance.

I have found the views of the television public far more frightening than the actual events that took place on the beach.

The media tells people who they should hate each day and the people follow diligently.
