How is it going? Is anything up yet?
Two turbines up when I was there last week. Lots of heavy traffic to and from the site.
Thanks for that. Have they got blades yet? How many turbines are there going to be?
Can you see them from Brightlingsea?
I had heard that there were issues with the access road...apparently it has started to crack up under the weight of the heavy transports...not surprising as it was built on marsh land!
those roads must have been used for the Pwr Stn construction
you certainly can see the St Osyth one`s from Brittlesea & from Dovercourt Bay

Right then. I went to Bradwell today by road. You don't get to see the turbines until you are a couple of miles away. If you turn right at Bradwell garage and go towards the village (instead of going straight on towards the marina) then the access road is about half a mile along on the right before you get to the village. Two turbines are up and one of them had the blades turning. No sign of any more at the moment. I have attached two photos. They were taken from nearby the access road looking roughly South East. The first photo was with the zoom and the second wasn't. Although the turbines are toward the Tillingham side of the village I am sure that they will be visible from the sea or anywhere where the land is flat. On a good day I can see the Jaywick ones from the sailing club at Stansgate opposite Osea Island. Hope this info helps.
According to my informant there is a delay due to the access road and the Crain is booked for another job so has gone off for a few weeks. You would think they could hire another one but this thing is rather specialised.
