Was out sailing yesterday, and the blue stuff is tarpaulin sheeting on the scaffolding which has been there for some time. Also, is it my imagination, or has the height of both towers been reduced somewhat? I've showed photos to the last general manager (now retired) and he says no, but tells me that the plan is to remove the buildings completely, then cover the 'nuke' flasks in concrete. When finished, I suppose the view will then be a bit like Dolly Parton lying on her back.

No but there is a plan to build a new one or two alongside.

Final site clearance 2083!!!!!!!!!!! although I read somewhere this has dropped back to 2087. Not of interest to anyone sailing now even on Opies.

I don't think so. To day I can see that the scaffolding is smaller and outside of the "Blue", and I think the blue is getting bigger, and I think it might be the cladding

Could be some sort of 'Fata Morgana' effect.

My boat, here in Portugal, has a blue tarp over it. Seems like too much of a coincidence to me.
