Brad I hope the third boat with you on Friday afternoon has now sorted out it's overheating problem. If my information is correct (which I am sure it is) You had to stop at 14.18 and diverted to Gillingham with the third boat being towed!

Hi Beryl,

Shpooky, yep times sounds about right, and managed to get into Gillingham marina OK with our friends boat towing the third boat. The overheating boat was repaired Saturday morning, and we carried onto Boulogne on the Saturday and met up with our friends at the Medway heading back on Sunday. The engine problems was that it had actually sucked the gauze raw water filter into the intake pipe and blocked the water flow, something the engineer had never seen before. Seems as though your jungle drums are still working...

Hi Brad
I am glad that all went well and can assure you that an eye was being kept out for you when the tow started. We did have a little bit of a chuckle at your radio transmission to VTS when you stated that you hoped that other vessels would take due care and consideration with their wash while you were towing! I am sure that the two slow moving cruisers and the two small sailing vessel's that you passed at twenty knots plus, at or just after QE2 also had a laugh.

I think Beryl is goading us into finding out more about her! She seems to like information so could she work at Woolwich VTS. Another tack would be a Thames club that was on the river same time as Brad. How about UTYC or TMYC. This is where we need Byron with all his contacts including CG(aux)retd!

Couldn't agree more. Smacks of an inferiority complex to me. So what if she's monitoring radio chat. Rather than goading she could contribute something of value or interest to the forum but alas we are only feeding her ego by replying, Doh!
