Boxing day sail, perhaps?

Assuming that the weather is sufficiently clement, would any of you go for a sail on Boxing Day? And if so, would you consider meeting up, at the Folly for example, or another appropriate venue. Hopefully Cornish Maid will be back in the water by then and we could join you.

Great idea Becky, but could I put in a bid for some company in Burnham on Crouch East Coast on Boxing Day? Anyone still in the water or anyone looking to crew on Boxing Day, let me know. We can take 2, 3 at a pinch. Also expect to sail throughout the post Christmas week, just day sailing with lunch in a creek or similar. Depends (of course) on the weather. Any level of experience, its only a game.

Karen and I are usually afloat Christmas & New Year. Haven't decided what our itinerary will be this year yet as we're getting nagged for non-appearance by our families, but Folly sounds good. Will post when we know more.

Wife working on Boxing day but we are considering a short poodle on Xmas day around the harbour. Have to check if marina lock is manned though.

Same as me, what era ?
I liked to keep to the Borders, Birdies, and Trees more hard work but more interesting than on a Jap creepy crawly where nothing happened. Br Pride was the best VLCC, I was on - will never forget when we almost rammed the Forth Bridge when the turbine went to flat out and stayed there!!!.

Used to read novels by a guy called Brian Callison, all based on merchant shipping. One of them involved a collision with the Forth bridge. Must dig one of the books out, it must be twenty years, or so, since I last read one.

Been down to the boat yard today. Very sadly we will not be relaunched this year. We have given them too much to do to get us back in the water before New Year. Which means that we will have a lovely early winter, with all the storms coming when Cornish Maid hits the briny next season! So we will not be able to go anywhere on Christmas or Boxing day. Sorry everyone.
