Does anyone want to go to my brother's house on boxing day in my place as I would really rather be out on the Solent?

Weather not looking too good for Boxing Day, so not sure I'll get that much support from family and think I'll struggle to get out alone.

Do you think they will have room on that new Binliner that is motoring up the Solent?

As seen on TV

Pleased to report that after the efforts of Col and me, QM2 docked successfully in Southampton. I was suitably impressed with whole event and well worth the effort. Went to the anchor at Bursledon and saw some 'interesting' berthing techniques in a F6/F7 wind - makes the efforts of berthing the QM2 that much more impressive.

Trip back up Southampton water was certainly 'interesting', especially without Blue Angel to flatten path. At one stage we were the only non-moored boat we could see. Even Brendan would have been impressed. Blew away quite a few cobwebs and worked up a hunger for another battle with the turkey. Our eldest tried out his new digital camera and good fun was had by all. Where was everyone else?

Re: As seen on TV

So far spent this morning installing new shower, putting software onto kids computers, practising with diablo (so that I can keep up with kids), moving boxes of rubbish + + +. Will try to load them onto web site later today now that nephews and nieces have arrived - will need some peace and quiet.
