Boxing day anyone out??

Thinking of popping out onto the Thames for a few days heading up to Goring to fish and find a pub or 3 ,Anyone else out?? Presumme the locks will be on out of hours power?? Steve

Left windsor this morning for a week or two on the lovely thames.

was able to wash the boat in a lock!

Had a lovely Christmas cruise on Christmas Day, just chugged around Desborough Island for an hour or so, 6 on board and 5 bottles of champers consumed, lovely!

Boxing day saw engine overheat before we even got to Southcote lock but a nice chappy from RCR came and sorted it but this delay saw us moored outside Tesco just as it got dark ,early start saw confidence high of making Goring by 10.30 the next morning but not to be as divers were working to free an obstuction at Whitchurch lock gates that turned out to be a narrow plastic fender of the narrowboat type [not mine full complement dissclaimer]that had got caught under one of the gates ...anyway that problem overcome we pitched upon the wall at Goring and spent a pleasant evening in the John Barleycorn trying to play Bar Billiards after to much wine/beer and some good nosh .
Spent today catching some quality Perch and a few small Pike and more of the same tomorrow hopefully before heading home Friday .
