Having had my bow thruster overhauled including the carbon brushes replaced last year I was "interested" to see the amount of carbon dust that has accumulated in the thruster well. There was plenty of carbon dust there before so I assume it is reasonably normal?

Its a pain to clean as ordinary detergent doesnt seem to have much impact on the coating of dust. Maybe someone has found a good solution to deal with it?

I know it is only really cosmetic but the battery and the wiring is in the same well and it all looks a bit scruffy.

Have you tried Elbow Grease from the "pound" type shops. Appears to remove most things I have used it on.

Just Googled elbow grease. If you order it on line, make ssure you order the cleaner! There appear to be alternatives using the same name that you may not want!!
