Bow Thruster Example with Photo

What was the owner thinking?
Has just been fitted to a Najad 343 in the Ionian.
From my prospective these external bow thrusters should be fitted where there is insufficent depth of hull below the waterline. In this case the photo suggests there would be loads of space.
(The owner did not want to cut big holes in his hull.)

Agree with this. A b/t effectively swivels the boat around the keel so, being as close as that, it won't have much leverage.
