Bow Thruster Battery Charging

Thanks for the replys

I think I will go the 240 volt charger route
a plug in and play simplicity
Saves running expensive cables the whole length of boat,( which is a danger in itself )
plus fuses and switches, from the altenator via a VSR or B2B, for something that wont get used much
and when used will only be for a few seconds at a time ( hopefully )

I have a 240v cct on boat with socket in the bow area, run by a PSW 375 inverter
which is on most of the time when off grid
The main battery bank is charged by Solar panels, and the engine alternator
I realise that a battery charger will not throw in the Amps that a alternator will
but should charge the battery up properly as opposed to the alternator that may only run for a short time

The boat is a Catamaran, which is a bugger to steer in tight situations
