Hi,

I want to add a bow roller to my 21ft motor cruiser.

At the moment I have a 5KG Bruce Anchor on chain and warp which is stowed in a bow locker (just) and is a matter of just lift it out and chuck it in, securing the warp to one of the bow cleats.

I want to make this a bit easier for my wife to handle so am looking to fit a bow roller with some kind of locking device to secure the anchor as there is now windlass.

Any ideas? Ideally there would also be a fairlead as the warp will cross the foredeck at an angle from the cleat

There are many types of bow rollers that would be suitable for your sized boat. See chandlery catalogues. Suggest you get one that has a hole in each roller cheek. That way you can put a drop-nosed pin thru' to secure the anchor. However why don't you make it easier for your wife by having you handle the anchor while she handles the tiller?!

Quite right ! And I expect you dont let her drive the car, either.
What is she like at the stove ?
