Bow roller insert

If you mean the bow roller and cannot get one off the shelf, I used a length of natural Acetal H rod and had someone cut it and turn it on a lathe. 4 years on and a bit of wear from our mooring but otherwise very hard wearing.

Strange. We have a lot of chandlers in the Solent area and BOW ROLLERS are one item which seem to be distinctly absent. When I did find one that looked suitable (in Cowes) the shopkeeper said "they are not very good and won't last long; I suggest you get one machined from solid rod".

How odd. I was looking for a new stemhead fitting for my wee Hunter, and completely failed to find one. I could have bought any number of rollers, though, at Kippford, Largs, Kip, Port Edgar and Duncan's. Perhaps - and I'm grasping at straws here - areas with more anchoring see more rollers worn out?
 
Thanks to all who responded here. The Forum comes up trumps again. I am looking for said items Vic but think I'll get a decent one made as advised in responses above. We do a lot of anchoring in Greece etc hence the wear on the current rollers. I think White Nylon is going to be a little soft for me.
 
Have one made for you from Delrin as already suggested. Nylon wears far too quickly and some of the ones in the chandlers are hollow mouldings rather than solid.
