The Vulcan and the Typhoon were incredible. But the rest was pretty good too!

Great photos Solitaire, we had the Red Arrows and Typhoon in Dartmouth on Friday, and the Spitfires (No Lancaster unfortunately) on Saturday.

Poor weather on friday forced the Arrows into a very limited flypast show, but the Typhoon was superb, what a piece of kit!

+1 Great photos, thanks for posting.

Was it me or were there fewer aircraft displaying this year?
There seemed to be longer gaps between each display than I remember from last year. And fewer small propeller planes: No Blades, Utterly Butterlys etc
Could be me of course.

Sunday was a nice weather break to watch the flying and I was thinking the same, it also seems to be the same at two other airshows I have visited this year (Farnborough & Wing & Wheels).

Great pictures, makes mine look rather dull.

Great photos! What shutter speed were you shooting at?

Some more examples with data as requested.

I try and keep a balance between shutter speed and aperture to get depth of field to aid focus so tend to not use wide apertures. Of course the platform is not exactly stable but then the VR helps.

Thought I'd some pics of the day, (Sunday) rather than start new post.
I'll stick to the boats as OP's pics of planes so good!
As Sunday was the best day weather wise by far, the queue for the bridges tailed back to within the Cobs and Davis marina's.
Accordingly Bridge Control lifted both bridges together to let us all through.

We anchored in the shallows just off Bournemouth Pier, surrounded by the usual mele of craft.

But I share the thoughts expressed by others that the flow was more gappy than previous years, and there doesn't seem to be anything new to see in the air.
Still, a thousand boats on the water (according to the local rag) and the town and beaches were rammed.

We suffered domestic power failure whilst being out, turned out to be to a faulty (newish) voltage sensitive relay in the charge system not switching to charge the domestic circuit which had been in use since the previous day hense running the batteries flat.

Still, better than the same day last year, when the port engine seized on the way back!!!.............................
