Bournemouth Air Show?

Superb pix. Thanks all who took them.

Good to see that the forum is a key sponsor as per this picture of the YBW Spitfire:

Solitaire,

Was that you in Evenstar 4 on B pontoon of East Cowes on Friday night?

I came over to say hello but I could not see anyone on board.

No, not guilty sir. It was the owner himself aboard. I am however on Evenstar all this week running a Day Skipper so will be seen around the Solent. Tomorrow is Hamble, Cowes, Newtown, Beaulieu.

I did take some pix of the boats at anchor, but there was a card upload failure which resulted in the loss of a number of files including all the Red Arrows and the Blades - to say I am gutted is an understatement, but I did take a few with my point and shoot. but the main one is a beautiful sailing boat - the L'Etoile that was coming just as we were leaving. She was built on 1932 and is used by the French navy for tradiation navigation and sail training.

That's is my Bav29 with the blue hull stripe in pics 2 and 3 looking tiny compared to the sailing ship .I decided to stay further out
as two friends have had their boats damaged in previous years when anchored among the masses.
I just drifted in a S E direction and motored back from time to time.

Updating this thread. Had a great day there today anchored on the eastern edge of the flight line/prohibited area. The Lanc turned round the boat as if we were a mark. Here is tomorrow's schedule for anyone visiting.

I had a great day down there yesterday, lots of boats anchored and it looked very calm (I was on the end of the pier). By contrast it looked a bit 'Lumpy' out there today for comfortable anchoring.

I was there on Thursday on the eastern side of the display area. Sea was nearly a flat calm which made is quite pleasant. Should have gone for a swim as many others did.
