So in other words a pretty poor air display. Note no BBMF lancaster or RAF fast jet other than the red arrows.

The issue is that another display has been started in Scotland near their RAF bases up there and so the fast loud jets won;t come to Bournemouth any more.

Also i've never ever been to any other air display where there is a 20 min gap between each aircraft..as a former flying instructor i can tell you that there are no air trafic reasons for this there and to date i still can't get an answer from them as to why such a delay.

Many thanks for the schedule.
At least I know what time the Arrows are likely to remove the tv ariel off my house!

Maybe you should get yourself out there...I would estimate a few minutes between displays...
Still, if the display disappoints you then there is plenty of action on the water as numerous folk wonder how you use an anchor.

Looks pretty good to me tbh. We go because it’s a good opportunity to get out on the water & something different to see. We’ll be going tomorrow if its not too lumpy. Went out yesterday in our new RIB expecting 2s as per metcheck. It so wasn’t a 2 out there! Heyho...it was fun anyway :D.

Thanks for that timetable Lisa, really useful. We went over yesterday and loved the air show, always great to see the Arrows but the Breitling Team were also just brilliant, and what fab loooking planes they’ve got, a cracking display.

We are still in Poole Quay but going to head out and time our journey back to Lymington to get a few of the displays as we do past.

Saw the Red Arrows on Saturday, brilliant show, but the display seemed to die after that.

By boat, it is now a long way out...from the shore you are somewhat closer to the show.
Seems the bigger jet display might be near Yeovil ,mid summer.

We were there Saturday to see the Arrows who were superb. After that things went quiet other than inane adverts and fill in slots on the radio.

It was too lumpy for an enjoyable lunch so retired to and idyllic Toland Bay....

We thought the same, very bumpy to be at anchor but we braved it until near the end, but today we left Poole at about 1115 and idled out to the display area and just kept moving slowly some way off the anchored boats and had some stunning views of the planes as they were all turning and lining up immediately above us, seeing the Fortress banking just above us was fantastic and again the Breitling team were awesome. Don't know if we'd anchor and hang around as much though if it were that rolly again.

Hi H..we were anchored also, just off Shieldhall as you say it was very wobbly not help by "adult yobs" in 30/50 footers charging through the anchoreds at 15 kts n upwards !!!! why is that necessary ??..... Red Arrows delivered the goods as usual BRILL but the French (Brietling team blue aircraft) also very impressive n those flares were just FAB ..... hope you n yours all ok..

Just to make you all hate me even more I've actually flown with the Breitling team.

Small Swiss airfield, briefing was essentially don't touch anything because it's a live ejector seat, pilot said if I shout eject, eject, eject pull the handle between your legs and do it quickly because I'll only say it once.

We then took off in formation, did some simple moves to shuffle lunch around a bit and aid digestion then I flew it back for a short while, flipped it upside down and back up again with mountains either side before landing back on terra firma.

Not a bad day all things considered.

Had a few other flights as well, the only thing I declined was the parachute jump. When Breitling do days out they really DO days out :)

You can fly with The Blades (ex Red Arrows pilots in Extra aerobatic aircraft) from Northampton Sywell airfield. I believe they are the only formation aerobatic team licensed to carry passengers - not sure how much though.
