Does anyone have recent experience of the marina in Boulogne, Last time we were there (two years ago) room was very limited and the sluice somewhat ripe!! 12.5 mtsx4mts draught 2.1

do u mean the outer harbour or the new marina ( ex fish dock) where you lock-in

Outer Harbour is fairly small and the sluice is still something that one notices from time to time, I have been there twice in the last 12 months, (11.7x3.5x1.7) no problems with berthing in the outer harbour, although it can get crowded and the pontoons are incredibly short and very bouncy. Fishing boats steaming past at 8 knots also produce a fair old wake.
Locked basin opens around HW+/- 3 and I am told that it is roomy and well sheltered, but I have not used it. If I were staying longer than one night I probably would consider it seriously.

You may also like to be aware that Speed Ferries fast cats are nipping in and out of Boulogne on a regular basis , and they cruise at 35+ kts. Also, look out for kids on the jetty fishing or flinging rocks at you......

Thanks for your reply. I have been advised that the marina is still unfinished that appears now not to be the case.
