Maybe would be useful to break it down by length, under/over 12 metres. I don't welcome the idea of parting with €400 per annum but it is more palateable than €1200.

Glyka,no option for me here in your poll.We left 3 years ago when they were going to bring in a one off tax that would have cost us about euros 9,000 for a 17 meter boat.
The tax was not why we left,we just wanted to move on.
Would I move from Greece if I was there now because of this new tax,
NO,Greece is great value ...free anchorages,free town mooring...I really can't see what all the fuss is about?
Yes there might be an argument on principle.....but if you look at it as a % of your overall yearly budget it's good value.

It really depends on what your yearly budget is. The annual tax for us represents nearly 15% of our annual budget. We are leaving, but we were anyway.

The long haul down the Adriatic from my base in NE Italy was always dependant on me getting a crew for the there-and-back bits, this swingeing new tax for the few weeks I would be in the Ionian tips the decision-making into a NO. Better to find some quiet corner of Croatia to spend my money; EU accession has lowered the costs there.
Incidentally, my marina is full of disgruntled skippers of all nationalities that had stopped crossing to Croatia as the costs there ratcheted up over the years. Those of us that ventured further south into the Ionian will certainly review whether to ever repeat the exercise. Those who flocked over from all the more southerly Italian ports for the ritual summer holiday will probably also be influenced by such a high, short-term cost.
As for the comment about we boat-owners choosing the length of our yachts ... yes, I deliberately chose sub-ten metres (9.4m) purely to keep my costs down during my pension-years. Even an extra €300 is enough to make me seriously re-consider ever returning to Greece. Perhaps illogical in the light of total boat-owning costs but the principle also weighs large as the earlier dream of unlimited cruising horizons slowly contracts with advancing criminality, piracy and now, significant payment for merely sailing into a country's waters.

We are 12.3m which is particularly annoying.
Poll doesn't allow for my option which is "We were planning to move to Greece and will still do so"
Marina fees €1000 cheaper than Croatia, so we move from a big saving to a small cost.

Surely Q4 on the poll "I was planning to go but I will not" is what you are after?
Typical viewpoint problem. The "Go" has different meaning depending on a viewpoint from inside Greece compared to a viewpoint from outside Greece.
"Go from Greece" against "Go to Greece"

I thought that my English could create problems, but then Q1 defines Greece as 'there' so I thought that 'go' is also clear. Besides if 'go' meant leave then there would have been two identical sets of options.

Staying, but will probably move on if its bureaucratic and difficult to deal with. Also depends on what happens with DEKPA and Port Dues - if they enforce them heavily as well - with the chaotic spread of charges I have experienced so far - I will leave. If sensibly executed I would think again. (12.3 Meters)

Glyka reading questions 3 an4 again I didn't really see why you asked them but understood the following,
I was planning to go and will do so....Meaning I was going to leave Greece anyway and this tax won't make any difference.
