RIP
A great trip to Dublin from Holyhead after a leisurely trip from Conwy, visiting the sights. easy trip into Dublin bay, then all hell let loose. Nothing that could not be handled, but I thought it should have been calm there. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
Up the Liffy to a little yacht club, forgot the name. A regatta on, with boat rowing contests, sun and loads of fun.
Made arrangements to go under the bridge to Dublin mooring pontoon. Then at the last minute, they said. No pleasure crafts. I checked this with the office and it seems the moorings are closed. So off to Howth, nice little village and very interesting if you like sea food stuff. But the fuel berth needs some attention, it's DIY and was so slow, the pump actually stopped for half an hour and we did not notice the difference!!
Then on to Formaldehyde. Well some thing like that. Christ you need a good swig of that stuff before going there. First shock was buying a couple of halves of bulmers cider. Ten quid. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif But then met Mick (son vida) which made it sort of OK. Then went to pay this morning. £83 she says. Then had the cheek to ask if we'd used any electric!! Mind she had a very low cut top and I nearly scummed. But sod paying more to charge a mobile phone.!
The trip out was like trying to wring water out of a damp dish cloth. WEnt miles before we saw 2M on the screen. Then like riving over 6FT cobbles for the first ten miles, nearly turned back, flat calm after that.
Mick told me a special Irish navigatory method. Go in one direction for an hour. If you dont see anything, turn back.!!
Think he must have been to my skool. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
