how is your boat did you get it fixed i hope it is ok i hope you didnt mind but it was me who informed the coastgaurd as i thought you were in trouble i could see it all from gorleston golf club

Hi
Thanks for your help that day. I called the coastguard too and he sent the required kit and crews. They arrived in just 17 minutes because you gave them an early warning.
the lifeboat towed me back and then we went down the Breydon Water to Goodchilds, where she is still, being repaired. The insurance and the surveyor took a while to agree what was to be done and by whom. With luck she will be back afloat by end August.

No. I told the story back in April when the incident occurred. The Holm Channel off Gt Yarmouth is not as clear a channel as you would think. The sands shifted. Indeed the lifeboat also went aground, even with all its local knowledge and electronics.
