Spent the weekend with some mates who live about 100 yds from the beach in Boscombe (b*st*rds..........). On Sunday, we strolled down to the pier, which is currently a dump but which apparently has £Millions earmarked for redevelopment, if the council can ever decide how to spend it.

My mate mentioned that he thought one proposed scheme was to build a breakwater and marina (and, no doubt, "waterside properties" etc). It's the first I've ever heard of it, and it may just be local tittle-tattle, since I imagine that there would be significant opposition and that any such development could have an environmental impact on whole Poole Bay area. Interesting, nevertheless, if true: anybody know anything about it?

Looks like it's all going ahead. Best to buy off-plan, and on any floor but not the lowest (security) or highest (bit cold). Oops, i mean, er how dreadful for all the environment and wildlife...
