In the good old days, we bought our boating footwear from Dubarry, when it was damaged or wore out we sent it off to Paddy (no really that was his name) and he resoled them or did the repairs needed.

Now Dubarry do not offer this service anymore.

Does anyone know of a brand who will repair/resole or at least a brand where this can be done?

Thanks

We still like our Dubarry boots. Not the hardening, slippy soles though, which were becoming lethal on wooden decks.
On discovering that Dubarry don't repair/replace modern soles any longer we resorted to a local rather traditional shoemaker's business.

We didn't expect much success, but the shoemaker found a source of non-marking / non-slip boot soles with a pattern similar to Vibram climbing boot soles.
£28 a pair was what it cost. So far we are well pleased with the result. Two pairs of boots and one pair of boat shoes restored to safe operation. As comfortable as ever.

Try local old school shoemakers/bootmakers first?
