booster cushion / seat

I'm finding in rough conditions, I'm needing to standup whilst underway due to the bow rising and obscuring my view when seated. Has anyone a recommendation for a white vinyl booster seat / pad for the helm seat when underway with the bow high. Boat's a Sealine S28.

It did occur to me to make one myself but would prefer to buy ready made or maybe get someone to make it if that's not possible. Needs to add approximately 4 to 6 inches to the height of the seat and be small enough to stow away easily when not in use.

I reshaped (with a finely serrated breadknife) a polystyrene kids booster seat to use when sitting steering to see over the coachroof...

which not only gives an elevated helming position but can be used for general lounging above and below deck. Also copes well with damp boat conditions. Admittedly nor very easy to stow out of sight, though.

We have some garden kneeling pads made of dense foam, they are multipurpose.

3 or 4 can be stacked to give extra sitting height so SWMBO can see over the coachroof when helming, one under the bum makes the seat more comfy. They can be used as meal trays in the cockpit. They can even be used for their original purpose if kneeling for long periods on a hard deck.

I would second the high density foam kneeling pads. All you have to do is attach them in some way so they don't get blown overboard. I often get caught out teaching people to helm the little boat. After struggling for a while telling them to look ahead at the horizon for things to steer to I realise that it is a small lady who can't actually see over the cabin. I am pretty tall and I really forget the plight of the short. Standing to me is not a very good option so cushion is necessary. But a real problem when you tack.
