Some while ago there was a thread which mentioned a book about an inexperienced couple (American?) circumnavigatig in a cat. Can anyone point me to the thread or remind me of the book title please?
Runcible spoon to you too. You're not thinking of the Edward Lear one, are you?
Thanks, but not that one. Much more recent.Did you mean this one:Rosie Swale
I have a copy you can borrow.
I doubt I'll ever get 100 miles from the GB coast, but it does seem that, if you're doing it right, it should be no biggie. Sure there's planning, weather routing and repairs en route, but if it gets too exciting, you're doing it wrong.so their response was to just do it and say 'no biggie'
Thank you. That's the one.Despite my slightly silly previous suggestion, I think the one you may be after is Bumfuzzle.
Bumfuzzle: Amazon.co.uk: Schulte, Patrick: 9780615220338: Books
They were a slightly annoying couple that went around the world then wrote a book saying it was no big deal, anyone could do it, what's all the fuss about. I think it was partly in reaction to how their plans were received by the luminaries on Sailing Anarchy, so their response was to just do it and say 'no biggie'.
I didn't find it particularly informative or edifying, but credit where it's due etc.
