To clarify comments from a previous post on grounding and electronics. Currently my yacht has a shaft anode only and no hull anodes. And to date have seen no real issues with corrosion. Have just fitted 3 new Blacke's seacocks which I was going to bond to a new anode fitted “within sight” of the seacoaks.
Reading the replies they suggest I do not need to bond these new seacocks at all. If I don’t it saves me a bit of work and 2 new holes in the hull. Any comments and is there any regulations etc, out there, do not have Nigel Calder's book, out there which can give me guidance.

Thanks

Peter

No need to bond, Presumably you had seacocks there before witout any problem, so would not expect anything different with Blakes.

New Blakes seacocks are made in DZR, which should last for many years without any cathodic protection. As said in other posts, bonding them may create other problems. Leave alone.

Mine are 24 years old, orginal Blakes seacocks. Never bonded. Not corroded except for slight pink in the cones.
