Thinking of possible changes to the interior of a grp 22 footer. All that would remain would be the main bulkhead mast support.Would there be problems with bonding new bunk fronts etc, eisting suface greasey etc ,should I use epoxy instead of polyester,or should I go for an all wood re build?

Epoxy will grip very well but is more expensive and needs keying between each layer (you could do wet on wet of course).
You should be ok with polyester provided the surface is well keyed and clean. As I am sure you probably know, avoid sharp bends if possible, make sure the matting is well wetted out and where you are joining to the old matting taper the joint.
You could, as you say, use wood if you prefer in which case you can use epoxy with a matting bandage to bond it to the hull. If you are doing it this way you can seal it all with a coat of epoxy as well when the fabrication is done.
Which ever way you choose you should make sure that the surfaces you are joining are clean and keyed.
Good luck.
