Mr Bojangles asked if LittleShip would like to go and threaten some fish today..

Wind over 20 knots we decided to go and fish ( term loosely used) off the rocks, something personally I have never had much success with. Ok, rain showers and strong winds don't really make this a pleasant experience, especially traipsing over boggy ground and steep rocks. However. Sitting under a large umbrella chewing the cud with a new acquaintance turned out to be a pleasant afternoon.

The comradary raised by this forum is wide spread, without being on here we probably would never have met, mind you..... In the conditions we had today I feel that an afternoon in the pub would have been better

Dave, thanks for the fun, maybe next time I can catch something

Bojangles 2 ..... LittleShip......a miserable 0. :p
Game on.

Tom.

Perhaps you were mislead as to the magic bait for that place and time;)

Peeler crab or softies are usually the best around here around now. Most else is ignored. Two or even three hooks in the same bait with barbs exposed helps a lot.

Haha, cheers Tom. My new Aldi beach rod (£19.99) proved to be a good un apart from a few tangles which were more due to the dodgy angler.. I was glad to catch a few tiddlers but even happier not to repeat my embarrassing catch of a few weeks ago (a huge black backed gull which swooped on my mackerel bait) which did manage to attract a fair bit of interest from people nearby who must have thought I was showing off some new fangled kite. Anyway it was slightly easier to unhook than that greedy seal that was hanging about today would have been if hooked..

Happy days..

What's the story Tom? You mentioned months ago about going to Scotland, but I didn't read any threads about the trip etc.

We usually get a nice picture filled thread about the voyage, I can only assume you are still working on it ;)

Look forward to hearing all about it :)

Not been able to as I have been in Scotland since April and only home for 20 days in total. Ill see what I can cobble together in the next couple of days :)

Stylish as ever, i have always been a trend setter rather than a fashion follower. You'll all want some of those sunglasses soon....

Somebody from the N W Mob warn Searanger about the "game on" culture with LS crew members..... This isn't over, no suree ! This isn't over by a long shot

Fancy dress meant that you got free drinks, that's my excuse

Geeeeesuss, I only went fishing.
Tom.

No more ammunition ,but I am sure Tom will get his own back one way or another !

It was actually a fantastic weekend and everyone got into the "spirit" literally

Well Thomas seems to be being quite gentle with you at present. I'd brace myself if I were you! :o

I see you're in Catrine, my old mate Sandy Kerr used to live there.

Yes, the eerie silence is worrying !

Know the name , did he used to have Alsations ?

Yes, (well German Shepherds hactually) that's how I knew him, we used to show and breed them. Stayed at his place a couple of times, remember his missus trying to kill me with mushrooms one night (I'm allergic). Nice little town you live in.
