Boaty iphone apps

Cannot help you with your Q, but very impressed with the images.
Tried to find in in the android market (I'm not an iphone person), but I couldn't.
Is it in some sort of beta, or still thinking about releasing?
Would like to have a look if possible!

cheers

V.

I was hoping to do the iPhone version and release at the same time. As it is I think it will go live end of July. Have yet to finish the 'Deviation Plot' item.

Do remember the iPhone is not water proof, so do not let it get at all damp as it will not be covered under warranty ,mm1.

Ooooh, messages, I used to get sent on them too. "Ear yar, son, ere's a 10bob note, go get us a loaf o'bread, a pint o' milk, a pot'o jam, a knobb o' butter & a half doz eggs & I'll make yer tea when yer get back." :D

Imagine sending a 5 year old to the supermarket with a tenner today?

+1. At the Apple shop, there is normally a stream of people looking to get their phone/pad fixed/swapped. Slippery Apple people look at the jack socket, claim the product has got wet, and tough, you have to buy a new one. I slugged this out one time and won, but it took a lot of tenacity.

Best place for an iPhone on Board, is inside. Does not work for us sports cruisers I'm afraid.

I get my first iphone next week, I know, I know, even Kwackers has one before me :o.

Anyway, which boaty apps are recommended and which are best steered clear of?

I just downloaded an app that seemed to have everything, weather data, forecasts, tide tables, GPS, mapping for marinas and trip planning tools. Turns out the weather data is scanty, the tide tables aren't for the exact location you're at and the GPS feature isn't any better than the maps app preloaded on the iPhone. You can preview the app below. But, IMHO it's not worth the money.

GPS Speed is usefull, Met Office. Now my inboard is not modern enough, but if the newer ones like cars have an OBD port, then Rev is a fantastic app, it does need an OBD wifi connector though, this will display fault codes and what they are, let you clear them as well as monitor all the engines vitals.

I use it on my truck and anyone elses car if they have a problem
