Boaty Brexit

I ah a stam made for my boat on going to Spain in 1981,didnt get a chance to use it,customers officials just waved away the slightest sniff of paperwork, especially the customes in Santander with his feet on the table.......?

Commercial ships normally have name, port of registry, official number and registered tonnage on theirs.
I would presume for a yacht that name, port and/or SSR would be sufficient. For the few pounds it'd cost to get it made online we will definitely be getting one.

Wasn’t it Colin Jones who didn’t a lot of articles in PBO about his Colvic motorsailer (Abemama?).
It was, I knew Colin and his lovely wife Rita, but unfortunately have lost touch with them. They were based in Lyme Regis when not on board Abemama. I do hope they’re both alive and well.

I really enjoyed his articles in PBO. Well written, informative and entertaining.
My memory is that the reason they stopped was that Colin sadly died. I can’t find any reference as to when, and my most sincere apologies if I’ve got it wrong (again).

If that’s correct, and I suspect it is, that’s sad news. I certainly haven’t seen Abemama around for probably 15 years or so.
