I've just got myself one of them thar new fangled i-phones. I'm looking for boaty aps (weather, navigation, tides etc etc.) any suggestions???

Just a word of warning. If you do buy any Apple apps, make sure they are suitable for your I phone. Some apps work on Macbooks and not on I phones or I pads and vice versa. FWIW, the boaty apps I've looked at for my Macbook have all seemed pretty useless but I'm sure somebody will be along in a minute to prove me wrong

Anchor Watch works well. It gave us confidence to stay out at anchor overnight for the first time last year - albeit on a lake.
It also alerted us when we got knocked off the anchor during the day, by a passing tour boat.
I've got the Met office ap, and AeroWeather aps

Puss :p

Apps

For my ten pence worth...

I have installed

Navionics UK & Holland
Boatie (great for shipping/inshore forecast)
Immray Tides Plan
Moon Phase
Ship Finder
Imray Chart Symbol
Knot Guide
GPS Tracker (InstaMapper) - (this updates our website with the boat position)
Glympse (updates facebook with our position)
Ship Shape (lights)
Imray Rules and Signals
Convert Bot (good for those times your brain malfunctions!)
Star Chart
